Is this the NLP-world?
These words were formed in my brain when I first experienced a motivation seminar in Vienna, Austria. The famous Swiss motivation trainer Mr. Ackermann assisted us in motivating ourselves...http://www.aa-training.ch.
I liked the idea of self-motivation, self-concentration and self-empowerment, but I noticed at the same moment that I had already had instinctively used this matter of training for myself before- years ago.
In 1995 I had returned from Maine, USA to my hometomn in Austria after an eventfull exchange-student-year. Once being welcomed by my family and old friends I was softly leaded back to my former world, though I realized I had changed. I started the last year of college in Graz where I had to repeat all the exams from 11th grade while studying and participating the 12th grade and graduation year.. then it all started.
My ride from home to school took me 1,5 hours one way. I lived then in my parents´ house and enjoyed therefore an all-inclusive treatment. Due to this fact I was free off the time consuming things such as cooking, preparting breakfast, lunch or dinner, washing my clothes, cleaning my room etc. My parents supported me where they could and facilitated my life enormously during my studies.
So, what did I do? I focused on passing all the exams (12 subjects) from my 11th grade, passing all the subjects for the 12th grade and passing graduation (French, English, German, Mathematics, IT etc) successfully. I saw myself receiving the diploma, getting an appreciated look from my teachers, a proud smile from my family and I felt the satisfaction long before I had received my diploma- which I did receive a year later.
MY FIRST NLP-EXPERIENCE - so to speak.
When I then 14 years later in 2009 participated at the motivation training from Mr. Ackermann I remembered the high school-experience and found out just then that I had already practiced this theory before -with all senses. I was stanned. Now I was excited to learn more about the theory and pratice it over again and gain knowledge. I knew there must be much more. AND THERE IS! You never know how far a change can go... I changed then. I am still changing. But always with an open eye for NLP and HNLP in my life.
